    Nice assortment of embroidery hoops

This set has just about every size embroidery hoop you could need. They are plastic and seem durable.

    Convenient set of embroidery hoops

This is an affordable set of embroidery hoops that have one special feature that was probably unintentional.Since the rings are molded plastic, as opposed to bamboo or wood, the inner ring has a sort of tube (that grasps grooves on the outer ring). This “tube “ is really handy for wrapping a longer length of the thread that you will be using again on your piece. For example, if you are going back and forth between colors and don’t necessarily want to knot and cut the thread each time.About five dollars for six hoops, what is not to love. The hold the cloth tightly and it is great being able to switch sizes depending where I am in a project. And, bonus points for the unintended design feature!

    Doesn’t tighten fully

So, half of mine don’t tighten all the way, which is an issue when you’re trying to keep a project in place. They look nice, and they are easy to use, but frustrating because I have to only use some hoops for thinner materials.

    Wonderful Embroidery Hoops

I was worried I wouldn’t get these hoops. But, finally got them and they did not disappoint! The fabric did not move while I was embroidering and it was easy to tighten. The needles worked great and easy to use as well. The hoop itself is plastic, which is great for me. I’ve noticed the wooden ones I’ve purchased breaks easily and pieces of wood sometimes chips off. The sizes ranged, and were great for my various embroidery designs.

    Craft hoops

These are plastic, not wood. I used them in my crafting and they were perfect.

    Great Variety

The variety in this multi-pack is great. There’s a size hoop for any project. They are a little finicky to get fabric ON, but it definitely doesn’t feel like it’s going anywhere anytime soon. I’m really happy with these. They are plastic, so I won’t leave anything on them for display, but they’re great lightweight working hoops.

    Perfect for my needs

I’ve been trying to find these exact hoops, but they seem to only come in beginner kits. I specifically like the interlocking parts, with the lip that goes into the groove. And they are PLASTIC, which is what I want for a certain project. I didn’t even remember that there were needles that came with these, so that was a nice surprise when opening. I would recommend these, I prefer them over the bamboo hoops typically found everywhere.

    Durable!

I ordered these as extras for my kids to do some projects along with me. I think this is a great purchase because the hoops are well-constructed and quite durable. I also liked that it came with needles as well.

    Hold fabric tight

I have always had this feeling that wood embroidery hoops are best, but I don’t know where that idea came from. Anyway, these plastic hoops have a nice ridge on the inside and keep the fabric nice and tight. You really do have to loosen the screw quite a bit to get the fabric to slip out.The screw mechanism is very strong and stays tight.

    Good selection of sizes

This set includes a wide variety of sizes. Each holds the fabric tightly. They work well.

    Still not sure

Okay so I have been embordering off and on since I was a wee lass. I have always used the bamboo hoops as that is what I was taught on. I have a friend with CP who told me these hold their tension better and were easier to use. While I agree that they do hold their tension better, I have a really hard time loading the fabric into them. I am unsure if this is a trade off that works better for me or not. I have not given up on them quite yet but I think I prefer the bamboo ones.

Good for a beginner or someone on a budget

If you are not sure where to start with embroidery hoops or want a good selection of sizes, this is a good jumping off point. These have some imperfections in the plastic but nothing that made them unusable. While not my first choice for displaying embroidery, these will work just fine for your needlework. The good:The needles: Needles included are quite nice and the correct type for even weave or aida cloth embroidery. The gold eye makes it easier to thread the needle and because they are milliners needles, the eye is small and in line with the body of the needle. Good variety of needle sizes as well. This was a very nice ‘extra’ included in the package.Nice variety in the size of hoops: I usually choose medium sizes for my work but having larger for more detailed pieces and smaller for more simple designs is nice to be able to choose from.Hoop connection and hardware: I typically choose bamboo or similar wooden hoops to give a bit of grip to hold the fabric in place so I was curious to see how these plastic ones would work out. The closure type is quite smart and the way the two parts of the hoop fit together pinches the fabric tight for a secure grip while working. The screw and nut work well together and make most of the tightening possible with one hand. The plastic grip on the screw head is comfortable and easy to use and you can tighten all the way with a screw driver to make it totally secure. The not so good:There are several small imperfections in the plastic due to the method of manufacture which are pretty common to see but cause some problems. You will definitely want to keep a screw driver handy in case a bit of plastic has adhered to the metal of the threads like in my case. I needed to work the screw in and out of the nut a few times to get the plastic off so the hoop could be used. I had another imperfection in the plastic as well on one of the inner rings but nothing that would show if you wanted to display your work.Overall – a good variety of sizes, the plastic material won’t slip, and the needles included will help you get started right away.

    Good Variety

For this price, I have very few complaints. These are plastic and there were a few imperfections in them, but you get so many that a few flaws are not a deal breaker.I think these would be best used by a beginner. You also get needles with this set, which aren’t the best but, again, perfect for a beginner. They’re also good to gift your finished product in. They snap in and out easily. Except for the extra pieces of plastic that I had to break off, these are a good purchase.

    Great set of embroidery hoops!

Love that this set of hoops comes in a variety of sizes good for any of your projects. This set is made well and they are easy to work with. The hoops have an easy screw to loosen or tighten your project. You can use these hoops for any type of embroidery or cross stitch. The fabric will not slip.

    liking all the sizes

I like all the sizes that these hoops come in. I have used wooden ones before, and right now I prefer the nurge, but I got these to use to finish my work and gift it. I plan to use washy tape over the hoop to decorate it before I finish the project. There are imperfections in the plastic that will show, so I’m covering it with tape or ribbon. Also, there was some plastic flashing still on the area where they screw together, so I had to clean that up too. Not a bad value for the money. I don’t use the needles that it comes with since they are all embroidery needles and I do cross stitch, but I can use them for sewing, so they won’t go to waste.

    Not for delicate fabrics

This is a decent set of embroidery hoops, which came with a set of 16 needles. The hoops are certainly okay for the given low price, and are great for beginners that work with sturdy fabric. Its nice to have the choice of all the different sizes and the hoops hold tight and the screws are working smoothly. However, I wouldn’t use these hoops for a precious piece where it is important not to damage the fabric between the inner and outer hoops. The inside (fabric facing) of the hoops have rims with sharp edges that potentially could damage some fabrics.

    Holds tight

The hoops came zipped tied together and bagged, Each hoop is the right size and holds the fabric tight with no slipping. All hoops snap apart with ease and the tighten screws all work smooth with no binding. Comes with a nice set of starting needles to get you started.Cons: Some of the hoops had a lot of molding flash on the screw area and outer hoop, Was easy to clean up with a sharp razor but you shouldn’t have too.Highly recommend this to anyone that needs a hoop for their sewing hobbies. You get 6 different sizes to fit your needs and its very cost effective.

    great price for 6 sizes!

These hoops are easy to put my fabric on and they tighten up well. I have not had any problems with my fabric slipping while on the hoop, nor do the hoops loosen by themselves while being used. I don’t use the smaller size hoops but for the price you can’t beat this set even if you only use some of them

    Variety of sizes and needles

For some reason I expected these to be wooden hoops, but they are plastic. They are still nice and work well. The needles are decent quality and it never hurts to have a few more in rotation. Overall, great value for price and affordable to make a piece and give away as needed. Would recommend.

    It’s plastic but works fine

They are plastic and sort of a pain in the butt to get your fabric in but once it’s in there it’s sure not going anywhere.I thought it was wood but I didn’t really read what it was. I saw hoops needed hoops bought hoops. Not much more thought than that.I don’t really know the correct terminology for crossstitch I just like doing it when I’m watching TV. These hold the project steady for me

Recomendado

    Great value for price

I bought these just to “size” up a project once i finished stitching in my expensive nurge hoops. I am using it for a scale so I know what to buy in size for a fancier hoop. They operate well enough if you want to use it for display. Cant beat the price and comes with some starter needles for embroidery.

    Nice

These were purchased for my 94 year old grandma. She does embroidery and said these are really nice hoops. She said they grip the fabric really well and she loves them. The oval gives her more space to work without moving the hoop as much.

    Gets the job done

Picked this up because I’ve never embroidered before and didn’t really wanna dump a ton of money into a new hobby. The hoops are indeed plastic, but all of them do a fine job at holding the fabric taut. The needles are also totally fine

Sturdy and holds the fabric taut

I really like these hoops. They have ridges on the inside of the outer hoop that provide a little extra grip without using a ton of extra cloth. It held up and remained taught after working on a piece for an hour or so. I’m pleased!

MORE THAN WHAT I NEEDED BUT OK

I needed a large hoop and this set had what I needed and more. When I got them there were rough edges on several of the hoops so I took them out to garage and gently sanded the rough edges and now they’re perfect for my projects. The hoops keep my thin cotton projects tight The price is right as well.

    Very sturdy

These hoops are very sturdy plastic. The screws are metal and are inset into metal, so they should last a long time. The enclosed needles are a bit small for me, but they would work fine for most folks. I just have trouble with such small eyes.

    Cheap and flimsy

These are very cheap and flimsy, and the first when I tried to use almost snapped when I tried to push it down over the material and tighten it. I guess I will probably use them, but I will do so carefully and with the expectation that they could break at any moment. Do not recommend.
