I remember when I was younger staples would staple multiple papers without buckling. Now the standard staples are so thin they buckle at 5+ sheets. I came across the premium staples and I will never look back. Worth every penny!

It is har to evaluate staples, but as the headline says, these are about as good as they get. Used to buy the brand for my office, now they are for home use, and for me the box is probably a lifetime supply.

The Best Staples Available
The one downside of retirement is that I have to buy my own office supplies instead of stealing them from work. That having been said, I wouldn’t buy anything but Swingline staples… or Swingline staplers for that matter. I’ve had my trusty Swingline 747 for almost two decades now and it still performs like new. No wonder Milton was so attached to his in “Office Space.”

I’ll save you some time. “SF4” is a full strip for large staplers, discussed and linked below. “SF3” is a 1/2 strip for smaller staplers. SF4=210 in a strip SF3=105 in a strip. Here it is, in case you are looking for it.

One thing different about these staples is the package they come in, a nice solid plastic box. I know, you are thinking, “Why do I care?” Well, (1) the box is sturdy and helps protect the staple strip from breaking apart. A cardboard box full of 1/2 inch staple strips just isn’t useful. (2) The box looks nice and stores easily.I run a Swingline 747 Business, and like it a lot.

These staples are perfect for it and the two together just make life easy. If I ever need another, I would pick up one of those. Or maybe I’ll just buy one on the company dime one lazy Friday afternoon! 😉

Useless (if you don’t have a stapler🙂)
Before I learned about staples I had no clue how I might semi-permanently bind 2+ pieces of paper together. I paced, sat with my chin on my hand, tapped my temple gently, all in vain. Then, as I scrolled the endless virtual aisles of this glorious site known simply as Amazon, there it was! The Swingline company had produced and packaged the one thing that could put my mind at ease and my papers together (temporarily if needed might I add). Now if I only had a stapler to put them in. Pushing them through and folding the tines over by hand is quite tedious. And you wouldn’t believe how hard it is to push one through more than 2 pages at once. But alas, we can’t always have it the easy way.

Innovative storage container! Works reliably for 20 sheet stapling
Swingline SF 4 Premium Chisel Point Staples, 0.25 Inch Leg Length, 1 Box, 5,000 Staples per Box, Silver (S7035450)I’ve heard numerous recommendations for the Swingline SF4 staples. I never had issues with my cheap staplers binding at home when I went to staple massive amounts of paper. At work, I ordered a nice Swingline 767 stapler but it would bind at anything over 15 pages. I couldn’t figure out why until someone suggested I try different staples. The staples the office buys are just absolute rubbish. I noticed that I use the SF4 staples at home and I didn’t even realize it. With the SF4 staples, my Swingline 767 can staple 20 sheets of paper 100% of the time. At 25 sheets, it’s not at 100% and it will bind on one side some of the time but at least I can staple about 20 sheets without worrying about binding.The new plastic container is a really cool idea. It makes the staples easier to dispense versus fumbling with a cardboard box that may spill out some of the staple racks.Overall: 4/5 stars, improves reliability of stapling but can still bind at or over 25 pages using a Swingline 767 stapler. Innovative plastic storage container!

Good staples, but HORRIBLE plastic case they came in.
This plastic thing the staples came in the second time is enough to make someone crazy.I had bust the lid off to open the case. Now I have no lid for the staples. Who designed this horrible plastic case that won’t open unless you brake it open? I bought 2 boxes and the first one came in a standard cardboard box. The second one is no good. I’ll have to find a container to put the staples in. Stick to the cardboard box. Keep it simple!

Consumer Resistant Packaging!
Staples are staples, however, the packaging makes the difference. I tried opening this container in multiple ways – tried cutting the sticker – tried peeling the sticker off – no way! I finally threw the container on the floor in frustration, then got my shopvac and vacuumed up the hundreds of staples all over my office. The result was huge aggravation and no staples! I will never buy these staples again, regardless of how good a deal it appears to be!

Arrived Damaged
Product arrived damaged. The case had been cracked, and a piece fell off, which makes it difficult to get the staples out without injuring yourself on the jagged edge.

The best staples.
I have used Swingline my entire life. For me, at this time, 5000 staples is a lifetime supply of staples that I could pass onto my family to be a lifetime supply for them. I like the sturdy flip-top plastic box they came in. I am not so sure that if dropped the box, it wouldn’t crack or break, but for normal use, yeah, it’s good.

I’m In Staples For Life…
Got these to have a large supply of staple handy as I use them a lot. I have two types of staplers. One Swingline Red Office style and the kind that using a spring loaded mechanism to do the actual stapling. The newer stapler is what O use on a daily basis as I don’t have to put a any pressure on it for it to staple. What I’ve run into on staplers at times is that certain staples that are made for a certain stapler won’t work in other staplers. They have maybe a slight angle to the staple or some such things and won’t work in all staplers. These staplers fit both of the brands I currently use. Although all staples jam at times, I have had somewhat jams with these it seems. They seems to work right most of the times and even when I’m having to use the Red Office stapler to staple a large number of sheets. They have worked fine for me.

These were bought when I ran out of S.F.1 staples after many years. searched for the 1’s when these went on sale cheaper than the SF1’s and glad they did. Much more reliable and sturdier.

Best staples you can buy, unless you buy the entire multinational conglomerate; potentially a good ROI if you can afford it.
I’ve gotten decidedly cheap staples before, and actually threw them out because they would only reliably staple a single sheet of paper. This limited their usefulness to that of kindergarten art projects. Since I graduated from kindergarten several years ago, I couldn’t see keeping them around, despite the pretty colors that came in the package.I’ve also gotten normal quality staples. They are what you expect. They work. Most of the time.My wife…we shall say…acquired a box of heavy duty staples staples. <=NOT A TYPO. I couldn't figure out why trying to staple a few sheets of paper together (better than the colorful ones from the evil blue box store could do), the staples stuck out so much...they were 3/8" long...almost as big as the ones for the T-59 staple gun in the garage (which, contrary to the naming convention, is not a suitable tool for stapling sheets of paper together. Nor is it considered a firearm, as the name would suggest, even by the state of New Jersey, lacking such determination, can not be sold on a gun broker website. Trijicon sights are, however available. The TSA's determination of its status as a firearm is a little bit different...suffice it to say: I won't be flying anywhere anytime soon.)So, that brings me to the matter at hand. Ouch. They will go into your hand. And stick into bone. On the plus side, they're nice and sharp, so they didn't tear any skin, and they didn't deform, so they were easy to grab onto with some pliers to remove. But seriously, I am writing a review of staples. I didn't think that they could be that much better than your plain vanilla staples (that reminds me of another amazing purchase on Amazon, a 16oz bottle of McCormick's pure vanilla extract for less than $8...the 1oz bottle at the grocery store goes for almost $7...if you're looking for another Amazon add-on item to make it to the magical $25 limit...). Now where was I? Ah, yes. staples. These are awesome. I actually fired up my web browser, logged my wife out of Amazon, and myself in, just to review these things after filing my taxes, and obviously using them for their intended purpose. I imagine they will work swimmingly on other things that I use staples on, like the seamstress work I can't bring myself to do. I'll update at a later date with the results of washing machine testing, as, inexplicably, the material type, grade, heat treatment, passivization, and surface treatment for these staples are not listed. As such, I don't know if they'll eventually rust, or if they are suitable for use as a structural attachment point for the micronized copper azole ledger board for my back deck. Yeah, that's right, they probably aren't long enough to go through the entire 2x, so I'll just use them on the joist hangers.These staples actually make me feel as though I didn't waste $25 on this super strong stapler that my wife acquired from work a few years back. Oh, wait, I didn't waste $25. Anyway, it actually staples through thick stacks of paper with these staples now. Oh, and the picture is wrong. My staples didn't come in a cardboard hang-tab box. Great staples; lousy box
The staples work really great. The sleeves of staples are intact and so very easy to use. However, whoever designed and approved the plastic box they come in really needs to think about what they did. It took forever to get the box open, and once I did, its torturous to open whenever I need more staples. Go back to the cardboard box, please! Those of us with hand pain have a heck of a time opening this. While the staples work great, I won’t be ordering again; I’ll go for one with cardboard box so my hand doesn’t spasm when I need to open a box for more staples.

There is nothing like running out of staples when you need them. Then, finding the box where the extra staples are is empty too! Ugh!! So I ordered extras. Then, I a few days after I got my new box I find where I had stashed the OTHER EXTRA BOX. Lesson learned. Got extras to put in a place I can find them when I need them. Yea right!

Best Staples – I Will Buy Again.
Think it doesn’t matter????Cheap staples bend over, are difficult to remove and generally frustrating to deal with.These chisel point go right through multiple pages the first time and save money compared to the cheap stuff since you only need to use one. i learned my lesson and only but good staples now.
