So colorful! Easy, but a full hoop
About 3 years ago, I began a project of hoop making for friends and family. Before my wrists gave out (resulting in wrist surgery on both hands), I made a total of 256 hoops, 12 dozen tea towels, sets of pillow cases, a tablecloth, etc. This set is colorful, fairly simple!

Nice pictures, but limited stitches
This is a nice little set if you have some knowledge of hand stitching of any type because the pictures are pretty. If you have never tried embroidery or needlework before, I would recommend a set that gives practice on just the stitches first before trying to decipher a pattern at the same time you’re trying to learn the stitches.This set comes 2 wooden hoops, a flower needle threader, a seam ripper, and a small pair of scissors (although they aren’t very sharp and have blunt “safety” points) and 4 different flower embroidery kits.Each kit comes with a piece of natural colored linen fabric with a printed pattern, 2 embroidery needles, and all of the embroidery floss (thread) you’ll need to complete the picture. Also included with each of the 4 kits is a full color picture showing the completed project with indications of what color and what stitch to use to complete each of the components.Both of my wooden hoops had cracked wood with exposed points that could give splinters if you’re not careful or could snag the fabric if it is run across the wood. They also are a point of weakness that could break with use. Be aware and be careful.The “English” instructions are mildly understandable, but I recommend finding a YouTube video that demonstrates basic stitches rather than just trying to rely on the written information provided. The names of the stitches in the kit are different from the normal names of embroidery stitches. Also, when sewing, the floss may knot up because it is twisted. Just loosen the knot and untwist. It is helpful to occasionally let the needle hang down from the fabric and let it untwist itself.

Great starter kit to learn stitches
I wanted to learn more stitches without having to buy separate practice supplies. So I figured I would try a set like this since it comes with everything you need to just start stitching.I like that they include a pattern that’s not just practice stitches alone but an actual design that utilizes them. So after you practice a stitch on the practice material you can then move on the the picture to see how to incorporate those stitches to get different effects.Plenty of thread included and instructions plus the hoops and accessories make it a great value. You can just open it up and get started right away. Would also make a great gift for anyone who wants to learn new stitches or just practice.

Good for a beginner, with a few caveats
The quality of these instructions is a mixed bag, but you can work with it if you have SOME tiny understanding of how to sew. I’m not a true beginner but pretty close to it. My mom tried to get me into sewing when I was younger and it didn’t stick – but I did pick up a few basic that help me figure out this kit when the instructions were lacking. For each type of stitch, there are detailed instructions with photos. The actual written words are a bit confusing, but the step-by-step photos are very helpful in making sense of them. There are also generic instructions for how to use the embroidery hoop, which I appreciated because I would have had no clue otherwise. But there isn’t any guidance on how to use the needle threader, which I had to google. I also know what a seam ripper is, but if you didn’t, that would probably be as confusing as the needle threader. They don’t tell you to tie off the thread when your stitch is done (or how to do that) but that’s one thing I already know from being able to sew a button back on.The embroidery hoop works well, keeping the cloth taut. Needles, threader and seam ripper are standard and fine. The last basic tool they include is a little pair of scissors, and they are VERY sharp. I really appreciate it because I’ve ordered other kits where the scissors were awful – these are great!One nice thing about this kit, versus similar ones on the market, is that you get 3 pretty basic cloths with stitches to learn, and then a fourth that is more decorative – the ones with insects on it which ends up looking more like an actual craft you made, and not a tutorial. That said, you can get a kit of just the 3 basic ones for half this price, so is the fourth worth doubling it?

This was a fantastic kit! I was feeling confident quickly and enjoyed progressing through the “levels” of embroidery. There were a few stitches that I looked up a video on so that I could see it in action a few times and replicate, but each stitch does come with a diagram and some instructions. Fun to learn
This has been really fun and rewarding to work on. I echo the other notes about needing the videos for the more complicated stitches. The kit includes a good amount of thread so you can mess up and re-do or do additional projects afterwards! If you’ve never used a seam ripper – watch out. You can easily rip a hole in the pattern – it’s sharp. After getting through 2/4 of the patterns, I have felt confident enough to add embroidery to some beach hats. Really happy I tried this out.

It’s a very nice kit, but lacking in sufficient instructions.
I was really pleased with the quality of the materials for this kit, and I’ve been having fun using it. Having said that, though, I will say that I have to resort to YouTube for some of these stitches because the instructions are very inadequate and the pictures don’t portray enough for you to decipher what you’re supposed to be doing. The kit would be good maybe with the assistance of a book or again like I said I’m using YouTube.

Good but could be better
The kit has everything needed to develop basic skills…except good instructions. The fabric, thread, needles, etc. were of decent quality. The instructions are awful! There are YouTube videos for this kit, but they are very fast. I kept going back over them. In some instances, the terminology is not standard for the US and apparently not for the UK either. I found this out as I was Googling to find good instructions. While I know I am a word nerd, there are some misspelled words on the fabric (“weawing” instead of weaving) that is an indication of a lack of attention to detail.All in all, the kit served the purpose and the cost was reasonable.

Horrible instructions
Cute kit and a good place to start learning embroidery but the instructions are garbage. Luckily you can find better ones all over the internet. It can be tricky though because the names this kit uses for the stitches aren’t always accurate. There was one stitch I wasn’t able to learn. My favorite line from the instructions was “in the center position down the proper distance stitch straight stitch stitch stitch stitch embroidery.” No idea what it means but my family got a good laugh out of it

Pretty Nice Kit with reservations!
This is the third embroidery kit I have purchased. Comparable to the others with a couple of reservations. Plenty of thread and two needles, scissors worked fine (one kit I purchased had a worthless pair of scissors), needle threader broke soon into the project which was a problem I found with other kits so I needed to purchase more and only two hoops. Seems most kits only have two hoops although I did buy one kit with four hoops. I don’t understand the reasoning here…you only do one project at a time, but need four hoops to display your work if you want. Biggest complaint with this kit is that the pattern is VERY INDISTINCT….certainly doable, but I had to keep referring to the picture of the finished project to figure it out and a true beginner might be frustrated. Previous kits I have purchased have had a very distinct pattern which made me very aware of the difference.

I have been embroidering for a few years now and I love the stunning designs of this pack. It has everything you could need, printed fabric, hoop, thread, needles, scissors and a needle minder. The colors combinations are chosen perfectly! The printed design can be a tad bit confusing and I found I had to really pay attention to where I was sewing, but with some practice I got used to it! Not for Beginners
I recieved 4 projects and 2 hoops. Also one of the prints has a permanent crease in it, right on the main part of the cloth. I tried to iron it out, but it will not come out. I will not be using this one. Also, I have had to go on Pinterest or Youtube to figure out some of the stitches, and try them out on a piece of cloth.

Not as shown – White Fabric & Garish Colors
I thought this looked nice with the oatmeal/natural background and ordered it last minute for a trip. It arrived on the bright, bleached white fabric that is so common. Cheap kit with thread that is difficult to work with and garish colors. I gave it two stars instead of one because if you don’t care about those first two things and you know stitches already (because instructions are horrible) then you get several kits for the money.

This is a four piece set and 3 of the four pieces are so blurry you can hardly see the pattern. Missing the nut for the hoop
I love that everything is in a kit with clear instructions. The only reason why I am giving it a low rating is bc the nut that locks the hoop in place is missing. It is an easy fix for me as I have other hoops. But for someone who does not know any better it would be a big disappointment as the fabric will shift without the nut to lock in place.

Ring came broken

Everything You Need To Start Learning Embroidery
I have been wanting to try my hand at embroidery for awhile, but didn’t really know where to start. When I saw this kit, I thought it would be the motivation I needed to get started. First of all, the kit comes with everything you would need to get started, even if you have never picked up a needle and thread before, even a needle threader! Once you are ready to start, it has step-by-step instructions with pictures for each step to learn how to do most of the stitches. The only complaint I have is that the pictures and text are TINY — I wish they could have enlarged them a little, even if it meant using additional pages. There are a few steps that I ended up having to go online to find video instructions for, but in general most of the information you need to get started is included. I like that there are 4 different patterns to move on to once you progress past the first beginner pattern. I started with the basic stitches and will move on to the more complicated ones when I finish it. One word of caution — make sure to keep your cloth away from moisture. Mine got sprayed accidentally with water from a mist bottle and it started blurring the printed designs on the fabric (as you can see in the picture). I understand why they use water-soluble ink — you can get rid of the lines easily after you are finished so that they don’t show — but you definitely don’t want to lose your design before you stitch it!This is such a fun and relaxing new hobby, and I look forward to ordering the other kits available from this company once I finish this one!

Great for beginners, but could allow a little more thread for mistakes
If you’re planning on getting into this hobby as a beginner- let me tell you now – SET ASIDE SERIOUS TIME FOR IT. What little I have done in my photo, was me sitting through 12 hours of movies. And this is me paying attention to just the needlework (and fixing mistakes) and not watching the movies (okay maybe I watched a little bit of them).Each project is packaged separately so that you don’t get confused between all the thread colors and instructions – just choose the one that looks most attractive to you and start!The instructions are clear, and come with step by step pictures. There are even instructions on how to thread your needle and how to use the hoop! Each instruction for each stitch has the stitch name, so if you need a video, it’s very easy to look them up. Each color strand will tell you how many threads to use as well.I found it easy to follow the instructions, but I won’t lie – I found the chrysanthemum stitch to be the hardest one for me. My threads got really tangled and I had to spend some time untangling them – but after about 5 hours of stitching and fixing my mistakes, I eventually got them and they ended up looking half decent!If you don’t think you could do all of these by yourself, or just want to try it – maybe think about having a craft night with friends, where yall do some stitching and talking together? It would be a great group activity!

Very complete and easy to follow
This kit is very complete and easy to follow. Granted I wasn’t a complete beginner when I started to use it but using the kit has been simple and following the instructions is a breeze. I love all the different designs that come in this kit and I definitely taught me some skills in order to practice this with my own ideas and designs later on. I highly recommend this for anyone looking to learn how to do some embroidery!

loved this beginner kit for my daughter
My wife is an embroidery enthusiast and our 11-year-old daughter has been wanting to get into it as well. We got her this set to practice some basics before diving into a big project and she has really enjoyed it. It came with lots of fun cute things like tiny scissors (kids always love tiny things) I love that this kit has everything you need, you don’t need to buy any extra things. Perfect kit for beginners!

Complete package is as stated– perfect for the beginner
Pros:The listing has great/very accurate information/pics of what is included.Everything you need is included in one package– each cloth (4) is stamped with the designs you will create & instructions are included, along with all of the supplies required to do so.The price is well-worth what you are getting.Obviously, since I just got it, I haven’t started it; I do feel very confident based on what is included in the package that I can complete all 4 hoops.I think this is a great beginner’s kit to purchase and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to try embroidery.

Easy to use
The kit comes with everything you need for them, some of the stiches can be a bit tricky so take your time. The out come of the flowers is quite lovely. Just be careful with the needle you will poke your fingers. Guess that’s why they made thimbles.

It does basically what it says
So I got this for my daughter and she does love it and it is easy to use. It has easy to read directions. The one problem Is and I have pictures of it but the pink flower had a wire to help you thread the needle. The bad is it came out very easily and flew somewhere and we haven’t found it yet. This could be a choking hazard it you don’t find it.

Would recommend for a beginner or someone who wants more practice with a variety of stitches
I’ve been eyeing some of these beginner embroidery kits for some time, but they seemed either overwhelming or too boring or just not something I wanted to make.However, this kit is lovely. I appreciate the papers inside demonstrating how to make the stitches, as well as the ability to practice the stitches in multiple places. It’s a nice introduction to the stitches, and while I know I’ll need far more practice, the lines allow for some amount of practice.I do wish there was a little bit more information for those absolute beginners like I am, as it would give me a better idea of how many strands of the thread to use and even about how much thread I need to complete a certain stitch outlined on the cloth.Outside of that, this is a great beginner set. It comes with several different sized needles, one threader, thread, one wooden hoop, as well as four printed clothes and threads to accompany each. I would certainly recommend these for the beginner who wants to learn many different stitches and be led through them in a simple fashion.

Pretty set
Great beginners’ kit as the instructions were really clear. Pretty set – was impressed by all the things you get in this kit and the patterns were clearly printed. I am halfway through one of the designs and while I am a novice it is fun and surprisingly calming to do.
